What is oral surgery?
It is the one that permits to carry out all the small mouth surgeries such as: simple or multiple extractions, wisdom teeth, unerupted teeth and small tumours in the soft or hard parts of the mouth.
These operations are performed under local anaesthesia or sedation. Nitrous oxide is used in some cases (nervous children or adults).
In other cases, surgery is performed on the soft parts using a CO2 laser technique, which is more convenient and has a lower risk of post-surgery bleeding.
If the patient so requests, multiple extractions are carried out throughout the mouth and an immediate upper and lower complete prosthesis is placed the same day.
It is also possible to perform all the upper and/or lower extractions, the placement of upper and/or lower implants and the placement of teeth.
